Mr. Farren is a Global Markets Analyst for Boston Partners. Prior to assuming this role, he was a senior relationship manager and senior portfolio analyst who served as a liaison between clients and the firm’s research analysts and portfolio managers. He was also involved in portfolio analysis and in writing white papers for the firm. He joined the firm in October 2015 from Alliance Bernstein in New York where he spent over three years in a sales capacity covering hedge funds and curating event-driven research. Before that, he spent four years at Tudor Investment Corporation working on the Raptor Fund as a fundamental analyst covering restaurants, food and beverage companies, household products, and miscellaneous non-retail consumer sectors of the equity market. Mr. Farren was formerly a member of Teamsters Local 653 in Brockton, Massachusetts, and worked as a union ironworker from Local 7 in Boston. He sat on both the conservation commission and the board of economic development in his hometown of Easton, Massachusetts, for three years. He served as a Big Brother for six years through Boston’s Laboure Center Big Brother program and helps direct the Tufts Men’s Basketball Alumni Group. He holds a B.A. in History and Political Science from Tufts University and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
